Tom Johnson was a helicopter pilot with Co. A, 227th AHB from
Jan 1967 to Jan 1968 and supported the 2/7th while in Phan Thiet. He flew some of the
ships that took us on our patrols during that time period and was one of the pilots whom
we depended on to transport us back and forth safely. He was there when we went to Song
Mao in April 1967 and was at the battle with the NVA in November 1967. Below are some of
